Change detection uses multi-temporal satellite imagery to identify and quantify differences between locations across time. This approach allows analysts to detect new inundation, structural damage, land-use changes, or environmental shifts by comparing pre-event, peak-event, and post-event imagery in a consistent spatial framework.
